Two Ways to Approach Life: Love or Struggle

Life is full of surprises. Some of these surprises are beautiful, some can be messy and some can be just downright hard.

We can’t always control what happens, but we can control how we show up. And really, there are just two ways to approach life:

The first way is to lean into it with an open heart and a willingness to embrace it all. Imagine facing whatever comes your way and saying, “I see you and I accept you. I know you love me and I love you.” Not just to the joyful, easy moments but to the tough ones too. It’s about being curious and staying open. Trusting that even the challenges are here to teach us something. When we choose this path, life feels lighter. We find clarity and grace even in the chaos.

The second way is to resist life. This looks like taking everything personally and reacting defensively. Here we carry negativity around like a heavy backpack. It’s exhausting, isn’t it? When we choose to fight life, it can feel like we’re always at war. We’re fighting with the world and with others, but mostly with ourselves. Instead of seeing challenges as opportunities, we turn them into obstacles. Then, joy feels harder and harder to reach.

Now Pause For a Moment and Ask Yourself…

How do you show up for life? Do you meet it with love and curiosity, or are you caught in a cycle of resistance and struggle?

Your approach and attitude to life changes everything.

I still see my friends and family choosing to make life super hard for themselves and those around them, and this is what often inspires these blog posts. They get written in the hope that they will see it and something will resonate for them to begin to look inward once more. As you know, we don’t listen to those closest to us (who love us the most) as much as we listen to strangers. But wouldn’t it be wonderful to change this and feel the love that’s being offered.

When you say “yes” to life with love, you unlock peace and connection. This connection brings natural joy and compassion to yourself and everyone else. As you feel the unity of all life.

When you fight life, you only create more stress and frustration, leading to sadness and feelings of disappointment about your life and the people in it. This enhances the feelings of separation and isolation that end up causing even more fight and upset.

At All About Your Joy, we believe in the first way. The path of love and willingness, because as I said this leads to natural joy. We’re here to help you let go of the bind of the mind and release resistance. Where you discover the freedom and happiness that have been here for you all along.
