Story Of a Changed Life
A Story of What Happened Here
This is my story.
It begins long before I had words for any of this. It moves through childhood, travelling, relationships, searching, questioning, and the experiences that gradually changed the way I understood myself and life.
Much of it was pieced together from old diary entries written while everything was actually happening.
I’ve left some of that language as it was because it belongs to the person living through it at the time.
This isn’t a teaching manual or a path for you to follow.
And you don’t need to believe a single word of it.
Just come along for the ride and see what feels familiar in your own experience.
This Was Lived Before It Was Shared
For much of my life, I was searching
For freedom. For happiness. For something that would finally make everything make sense.
There were countries, relationships, books, spiritual ideas and some rather extraordinary experiences along the way.
Eventually, something much simpler became visible.
Life was already here.
The mind could continue thinking, planning and commenting without being the one who had to live every moment.
A Story of a Changed Life is simply the story of how that became visible here.
Not so that you can recreate my journey.
So you might notice your own.
Come and Sit With Me for a While
You can read the complete book free inside the All About Your Joy app.
There’s nothing to complete and nothing to learn before moving on.
Make yourself a cup of tea. Start at the beginning. Read the whole thing in a weekend or wander away for a week between chapters.
There’s no right way through it.
You May Recognise the Search
If you’ve spent years exploring presence, awareness, awakening or self-realisation, you may recognise something in this story.
Maybe you’ve read widely. Meditated. Followed teachers. Had moments where everything became wonderfully clear.
And still something keeps searching.
A Story of a Changed Life tells you what happened here.
Dissolving Into Presence invites you to look directly for yourself.
About Jules Bodger
I’m Jules Bodger. I live in New Zealand with my husband Tony and our Labradors, Skye and Chester.
In 2003, the way I experienced life changed completely.
The mind didn’t disappear. Life simply stopped feeling as though it had to be lived entirely through its commentary.
The years since have been spent exploring what that means in ordinary life.
The books, recordings and journeys inside All About Your Joy grew from there.
