You Don’t Have to Carry Life Entirely Through Your Mind
Sometimes life feels heavy because the mind has been trying to carry all of it.
The conversations, tomorrow, the grief, or something that happened twelve years ago while you’re standing in the kitchen waiting for the kettle to boil.
All About Your Joy is simply a place to put some of that weight down and notice the life that is still here.
Or perhaps you’d like to know who’s behind all this.
Where are you standing today?
You don’t need to understand all of this before you begin.
Just start with the bit of life that’s asking for your attention today.
My Mind Won't Stop
For the thoughts that keep circling long after the practical thinking is done.
I'm Grieving My Pet
For the strange quiet, the guilt, the missing footsteps, and the love that still has nowhere obvious to go.
I'd love somewhere to keep coming back to
Simply Being Here is the a paid space at the heart of our deeper work.
Come for a walk
#LiveLikeYourDog is a free seven-day invitation to notice the little things that dogs seem to remember without even trying.
At the Heart of It All
Life Is Bigger Than Thought
The mind is extraordinary. It remembers, plans, imagines, and makes a pretty good attempt at keeping track of where you left your glasses.
Most of us were simply never shown that we don’t have to experience life entirely through the mind.
When the mind no longer has to carry every single moment on its own, something naturally opens.
There is more room for grief without becoming only grief. More room for laughter on a difficult day. More room to hear the dog sighing under the table and realise that life has been here the whole time.
Everything inside All About Your Joy grew from that discovery.
That’s why you’ll find so many different doorways here. Some people arrive because their mind won’t stop. Others because they’ve lost someone they love. Others simply because they know there must be an easier way to live.
They all lead to the same place.
If you’re curious about how I came to see any of this in the first place, I wrote the story many years ago, while it was still fresh and rather astonishing to me.
A Story of a Changed Life is now yours to read for free.
This was lived before it was shared
A Bit About Jules
I’m Jules Bodger. I live in New Zealand with my husband Tony and our Labradors, Skye and Chester.
In 2003, the way I experienced life changed completely. The constant sense of being a little person inside my head, trying to manage everything, simply fell away.
The mind carried on doing what minds do. It still does.
Life became much larger than its commentary. So, it naturally became quieter.
The years since have been spent living that discovery through ordinary life. Loving and losing people and dogs. Working. Watching my body change with age. Forgetting cups of tea until they’re cold.
The books, recordings, and pathways here are what grew from that life.

Whether you stay for five minutes or five years, thank you for dropping by.
I hope you leave carrying a little less than when you arrived.
Underneath All the Noise, Joy is Still Here
You might be wondering...
Do I need meditation experience?
Not at all. You don’t need any experience. Just come as you are and begin where you are.
Do I need to believe in anything?
No. This work isn’t about adopting beliefs. It’s about noticing your own experience.
What if I'm grieving the loss of my pet?
Losing a pet can turn life upside down. If that’s where you are, we’ve created a gentle place to help you stay close to the love without becoming overwhelmed by the pain.
What is the best way to deal with the silence after losing a pet?
The silence after a pet dies can feel louder than words. We don’t ask you to fill it or rush through it. We simply offer gentle guidance to help you be with the love and the grief, one moment at a time.
Can this help with stress, burnout or menopause?
Many people arrive here during times of stress, burnout, grief, or the changes that come with menopause and midlife. Whatever has brought you here, the invitation is always the same: to come back to the life that’s here, one moment at a time.
Is this mindfulness?
There are similarities, but this work isn’t about trying to empty your mind or become a better meditator. It’s about discovering that life is already here, even while the mind carries on doing what minds do.
Is the app free?
Yes. The app is free to download and includes a selection of guided practices, along with access to everything you’ve purchased or chosen to join.
You can simply download it and have a look around.
Where should I begin?
Most people start with the free app. From there, you can explore whichever doorway feels most relevant to your life right now.
